Why does cilantro bolt, and how can I prevent it? - abodelook - 03-09-2026

Cilantro commonly bolts when temperatures become too warm or when the plant experiences stress. Once it bolts, it quickly produces flowers and seeds, and its leaves can develop a stronger, less pleasant flavor. To slow bolting, grow cilantro during cooler seasons, provide afternoon shade in hot weather, and keep the soil consistently moist. Succession planting every few weeks can also provide a continuous supply of fresh cilantro throughout the growing season. Visit Now: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.
